David Moody is definitely not your average Joe. He’s known for his traveling escapades and being superbly down to earth. This you could tell by the people he chose to surround himself with, how he spent his time, and everything down to his style that he’s a genuine jewel. No fronts with this guy at all. Those closest to him have witnessed his travel blogs and photos he would share on Instagram. One moment he’s in Royal Palm Beach the next he’s in Europe somewhere. Then he’s back in New Orleans to visit his loved ones and off again he goes. There wasn’t much keeping track of Moody as he was always on the go.
Fearless and courageous in his approach. He wasn’t afraid to take risks to find his happy place in this life. Not many people are willing to make the sacrifices he made to be able to travel as much as he did. From the outside in it appeared to be a minimalist approach to his madness. As if it was done in desperation because he knew there was more he needed to see . He knew there was more out there for him. Even if it was just to travel enough to change his perspective and mindset on life. A clear and focus mindset is the first step to any serious project or venture. Life outside of the red, white, and blue cage appears to have had a great impact on him. I’m sure he found exactly what he was looking for.
So fast forward into the future and now you have this man who’s clearly on the verge of something great for himself. Moody and Co. offers an extensive line of products and services that are foreign in style, high in detail, and quality. David is single handedly responsible for every single cut, design, and stitch. The attention to detail and the amount of care he puts into every inch of his design is a display of the true dedication he has to his craft. There is no slapping together of cookie cutter templates and patterns. Instead, there’s a long process of blood , sweat, tears, and stabbed fingers. And literally speaking at that lol. The poor guy has physically hurt himself during the process. Now you can catch him sewing leather with at least one glove on. I thought that was pretty humorous. Sorry to laugh at your pain David.
David and I had a mutual business transaction that led me to his hiding place at home where we exchanged common goods.I was blessed with the opportunity to witness him in his creative lair. Upon arriving his sister had just finished blending a smoothie for him. Apparently he’s locked in the room for hours and days at a time without coming out . “Knock Knock David” there’s no Moody and Co© without you. Come out and take a break ! But unlike most he just understands the level of sacrifice and time that’s needed for this to truly take off. Behind the scenes he truly looked like that of a mad scientist. It was the equivalent of walking into a room where someone is feverishly cracking some ancient code or theory. Instead of newspaper clippings and strings connecting strange dots along the wall theres Moody with scraps of leather, alligator skin, and other supplies strewn about the place. Fingers busted up might I add (no I won’t let that slide lol).
I imagine sometime soon in the near future he will have all the help he could need. Equipped with a location, vendors , sponsors and more. I’m just happy to have caught a glimpse of the hoodoo before he’s swept away on the magic carpet of American dreams.
